Protect the employee benefits at Icomera
Retain the two bonus days, the Icomera day, IN ADDITION to the new ATK days.
Varför är det viktigt?
As you might have noticed in an email sent by the leadership before winter vacation season, the trade unions and the employers agreed on working time reductions for the employees. Specifically, we are supposed to get one more paid day off per year 2026-2027, a so-called ATK-day.
What they don't explicitly tell us in that email is that they have also removed one of our two bonus days in our existing benefits package. This means that we get effectively no working time reduction at all. Furthermore, what they don't tell us at all in that email, is that we have paid for this working time reduction. Out of the 6.4% wage increase that got agreed on in the collective bargaining agreement, 0.9% went to paying for this working time reduction.
What does this mean? Well, you can view it in two ways. The first is that nothing happened with regards to how much we have to work, and that they then basically stole some of our future wages. The other is that we got what we paid for, but in return they removed one our existing benefits.
We see this as an attack against the trade unions. If we dare to ask for better working conditions (or as in this case, make a trade), they will remove our benefits as punishment. This is of course outrageous. The already relatively low wages at Icomera can be compensated for with better benefits, but they are now taking those away.
The leadership have said that they want to maintain a good relationship with us employees. This is absolutely not the way. Let us show them what we think of this move.

FAQ
- Haven't the unions already negotiated this? Why would this be any different?
- First of all, the unions are split, so both unions speak for a limited number of employees. In contrast, any employee can sign this petition, regardless of union membership.
- From the way Icomera has communicated, it seems like they are betting that most people are not informed and unwilling to speak up. We can change that by showing how many of us are dissatisfied with the leadership's decisions.
