Hello Jair Bolsonaros and the government in Brazil! Our future is in danger. If we don't do anything in the coming five year or so, everything we know will be vanished. The world's rainforests is being destroyed in a high speed which for us and the biological diversity is devastating. But we still have time to change. We have to stop the deforestation if we want to have a future on earth, and it all starts with a small change. You.
Varför är det viktigt?
The Amazon rainforest is the largest rainforest in the world. It represents over half of the planet's rainforests, and comprises the largest and most biodiverse tract of tropical rainforest in the world. More species are found here than anywhere else. Amazon is the biggest deforestation front in the world and interventions are urgently needed to prevent a large-scale, irreversible ecological disaster. The rainforests have a huge role to play in the global climate. It is a fact that trees, and plants absorb carbon dioxide in the atmosphere in order to produce oxygen. With the rapid depletion of the trees, the level of carbon dioxide is going down, which is increasing global warming. We will loose very important ecosystems, food, and even medical supplies. If they die, we die.
